Born on August 23, 1918 in Peerumedu, Kerala, Meteorologist Anna Mani is known as the 'Meteorological Lady of India'. He graduated in Physics and Chemistry from Presidency College, Chennai (Madras) in 1939. He has always had a special attachment to Physics. This is the reason why she reached Imperial College in London in 1945 for further studies in this subject.

While studying in London, she became expert in using weather related equipment. After completing her studies and training, she returned to India in 1948. Started his first job with the Meteorological Department. He designed many such instruments that work for forecasting the weather. He breathed his last on 16 August 2001 in Thiruvananthapuram, the capital of Kerala.
